]]>After he was put on another flight, presumably in two seats, and landed safely in Burbank, Smith tweeted, “Don’t worry: wall of the plane was opened & I was airlifted out while Richard Simmons supervised.”
Kevin Smith was not the only fat dude on that Southwest Airlines flight. But he was the only one tossed off for being a “safety risk.”
“I know I’m fat,” Smith tweeted. “But I broke no regulation, offered no ‘safety risk’ (what, was I gonna roll on a fellow passenger?). I saw someone bigger than me on THAT flight! But I wasn’t about to throw a fellow Fatty under the plane as I’m being profiled. But he & I made eye contact, & he was like ‘Please don’t tell…'”
Although it was publicly humiliating, Smith tweeted that his embarrassing 2004 “Jersey Girl” flop (starring Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez) has enabled him to cope. Call it Embarrassment Training 101.
Look on the bright side, Kev. This is great publicity for your new film, “Cop Out,” starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan, hitting theaters on Feb. 26.
