khloe kardashian divorce lamar odom Khloe Kardashian filing for divorce from Lamar OdomUpdate: TMZ is reporting that Khloe has indeed filed for divorce and made a move to restore her name, dropping the Odom. The documents list irreconcilable differences as the reason for the marriage ending.

It’s fun to joke about Kim Kardashian‘s 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries, which ended not long after the actual wedding aired on TV. But we always thought Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom were the real “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” couple who were legit and could survive anything.

However, TMZ is reporting that Khloe is filing for divorce from Lamar Friday (Dec. 13). Not that you can blame her, as his struggles with substance abuse (and rumors of cheating) have dominated the headlines for months.

But we’re still pretty bummed for her. It’s probably a hard thing to do even with all the problems they’ve been having.

Khloe is mum on the subject so far, but this week she’s been tweeting some inspirational messages.

The first one reads, “Judge nothing by appearance alone. The more beautiful the serpent, the more fatal its sting. Look into her eyes and see her soul. Eventually her soul will reflect and beauty you will possess.”

And the second is a picture of a message that reads, “Dear Human: You’ve got it all wrong. You didn’t come here to master unconditional love. That is where you came from and where you’ll return. You came here to learn personal love. Universal love. Messy love. Sweaty love. Crazy love. Broken love. Whole love. Infused with divinity. Demonstrated through the beauty of… messing up. Often. You didn’t come here to be perfect. You already are. You came here to be gorgeously human. Flawed and fabulous. And then to rise again into remembering.”

Khloe and Lamar were married in September 2009.
