kim cattrall sept 2010 gi Kim Cattrall knows which side her bread is not buttered onTurns out the one person who isn’t horrified by the Megan Mullally “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” commercials is famous. “Sex and the City’s” Kim Cattrall says she thinks they’re “really fun.” So much so that she’s signed on as the food spread’s new spokesperson.

“They sent me the storyboards the the ideas,” Cattrall tells Extra, “and it’s sort of a wink and a nod for a certain character that I am know for.”

Three guesses as to what character that is. We’ll go ahead and take “Star Trek VI’s” Lieutenant Valeris out of the possible options.

While she embraces part of her aging sex bomb image, Cattrall is a bit testier when asked about Ricky Gervais‘ comments while hosting the Golden Globes earlier this month that an award was in order for the PhotoShop done on the “Sex and the City 2” movie poster. While co-star Chris Noth sardonically nodded in agreement in the audience, Cattrall is less inclined to play along.

“Ageism is out there and I fight it every day in my own way,” says Cattrall, who did not watch the Globes. “So, I think that’s kind of a cheap joke. Maybe some people feel that needs to be out there. I don’t particularly think so.”
