North Korean leader Kim Jong Il died on Saturday Dec. 17. A television reporter cried as she announced that he passed away “died from fatigue during a train ride,” according to the Wall St. Journal.
Kim was 69 years old and was thought to have some health issues after a stroke in 2008, suffering from both diabetes and heart disease. Still, reports and footage from his recent trips to China and Russia showed him to be relatively vigorous.
He will be succeeded by Kim Jong Un, his third son.
We leave you with Margaret Cho’s impression of Kim from “30 Rock,” because that’s pretty much the best thing about him.
