Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott had a close call when the back tire of her tour bus caught on fire Thursday (April 16).
Scott, her husband, her tour manager and the bus driver were on the way to the 2015 Academy of Country Music Awards when the fire broke out but fortunately were all able to get off the bus without anyone being harmed.
The singer took to Facebook to notify fans that everyone was okay and to show the damage to the bus. Fans and friends — including singer Reba McEntire and the band Montgomery Gentry — commented to show their support and relief that everyone made it out alright.
Scott’s next post pointed out that the travelers weren’t the only ones that survived the fire. All of the possessions they had in the back of the bus were lost to the fire, except for Scott’s Bible. She posted a picture of it and explained that while the outside cover was damaged, not a single page was missing or tarnished from the flames.
Looks like the band had a spiritual force looking after them, after all.
