The first promo for “Late Night with Seth Meyers” has been released, and it’s about as different as can be from the one for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Whereas “The Tonight Show” promo features highlights the long history of the show and its hosts, “Late Night’s” is more of a sketch, which isn’t surprising given Seth Meyers’ background on “Saturday Night Live.” In fact, Meyers is planning to include more sketch comedy in his version of “Late Night,” which is sounding a lot like NBC’s take on “The Daily Show.”
In the promo, Meyers leaves his “Weekend Update’ co-anchor Cecily Strong behind as he goes to take a look at his brand new studio. There’s even a cameo by fellow “SNL” star Kenan Thompson. Unfortunately there isn’t much to see, other than construction workers and equipment laying around. There’s a lot of work to be done before the new “Late Night” is ready to debut on Feb. 24.

Chris E. Hayner is equal parts nerd, crazy person and coffee. He watches too much TV, knows more about pro wrestling than you do and remembers every single show from the TGIF lineup. You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
