After just over a year of being engaged, LeBron James and Savannah Brison have reportedly set their wedding date. According to TMZ, the high school sweethearts mailed out “Save the Weekend” cards, for September 13-15. The event will be taking place in San Diego, Cal.
Included with the “Save the Weekend” was a caricature of James, Brinson, and their two sons, dressed in formal attire. The couple’s first son, LeBron James Jr. was born in 2004, and their second, Bryce Maximus James, followed in 2007.
The only problem James may run into that weekend is that any Jewish friends he has might not be able to attend. It just so happens the weekend they’ve chosen for their wedding also happens to be Yom Kippur, a Jewish high holy day. Yom Kippur is a day of fasting that begins at sundown on September 13, lasting until nightfall on September 14. A lavish wedding weekend while you’re fasting might not be a fun time.
