walter white breaking bad alabama meth amc Life imitates 'Breaking Bad': A real Walter White is wanted on meth charges

Sometimes it isn’t a good thing when life imitates art. Take “Breaking Bad,” for example. There is indeed a real Walter White out there. And he is wanted on charges of meth manufacturing in Alabama.

The Tuscaloosa (Ala.) County sheriff’s office has listed Walter Eddy White as one of its most wanted criminals. The 55-year-old from McCalla, Ala., is facing charges for the unlawful manufacture of an unlawful substance. According to the sheriff’s department, the unlawful substance in question is methamphetamine. White made the most-wanted list for a probation violation from his 2008 charge for meth production. His current whereabouts are unknown.

On the TV show “Breaking Bad,” a cancer-stricken chemistry teacher named Walter White (played by Emmy winner Bryan Cranston) begins manufacturing meth to provide for his family. White’s morality only goes downhill from there.

Considering the prevalence of meth in the United States, it was probably only a matter of time before a real Walter White got caught up in that drug’s world.
