Foxy fans may want to avert their eyes. In the new movie “Alex Cross,” “Lost’s” Matthew Fox plays a mixed martial arts fighter/ruthless assassin who murders the wife of a Washington, D.C. detective played by Tyler Perry.
So, yeah, he’s the bad guy. But what’s worse is how Fox has transformed himself for the role. The always fit Fox seems to have gone to Mickey Rourke-in-“The Wrestler” extremes to model himself as an MMA fighter. In the picture above, Fox seems to be in the middle of some kind of cage match, clenching his teeth malevolently as he twists an appendage possibly out of its socket. In the back, some dame looks on — intrigued by Fox’s negative body fat and prominent veins.
“Alex Cross” is directed by “XXX’s” Rob Cohen and co-stars “Breaking Bad’s” Giancarlo Esposito, Jean Reno, Edward Burns and Cicely Tyson.
On May 7, Fox was arrested in Oregon on suspicion of driving under the influence. In August 2011, he was accused of punching a female bus driver in the chest and pelvic area after he was denied entry to a private party bus in Ohio. He wasn’t officially charged, though a civil suit has been filed.
