Malin Akerman, star of the new ABC comedy “Trophy Wife,” stopped by “Chelsea Lately” Monday (Oct. 7), where she talked about her experiences with older men, since her “Trophy Wife” character has married an older guy.

Akerman says she hasn’t dated a guy who’s “really old, let’s not go like Viagra, geriatric.”

“I was 16 and he was 28,” Akerman admits. “That’s a big age difference, in some countries. This was in France. … His name was Fabio, so that’s awesome.”

But no, not that Fabio, thank goodness.

“[Growing up] I vacationed a lot in European countries where they are no rules — drink at any age, have sex at any age, obviously,” she adds.

She also tells host Chelsea Handler about her new producing gig. Akerman is a producer for “Trophy Wife,” though she say she doesn’t really know what she’s doing.

“[It’s] sort of like a game for me because I don’t know what I’m doing. Whenever someone goes, ‘What do you think of this?’ I go, ‘Well, what do you think of that?’ and they go, ‘Well, I think …’ and I go, ‘Same here, totally.’ … I go to set and do my acting thing and pretend I’m producing stuff.”

“Trophy Wife” airs Tuesday nights at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
