Nebraska’s Tyler Gold — or the man formerly known as Tyler Gold — may not have known about that whole dinosaur gas thing before he officially changed his name to “Tyrannosaurus Rex” on Monday (May 7).
According to Gold, Tyrannosaurus Rex — which means “tyrant Lizard King” (so as not to be confused with Jim Morrison) — is way cooler than his old name.
“Also, as an entrepreneur, name recognition is important and the new name is more recognizable,” said Rex in his official court filing, as reported by Nebraska’s local New York Times.
After promising a judge that he wasn’t changing his moniker to dodge creditors or criminal charges, Gold’s name was officially changed to “Tyrannosaurus Rex Joseph Gold.”
We’ll remember that. And the gas thing.
