hangover tattoo settlement Man sues 'The Hangover Part II' for stealing his life's story

Man, we wish we thought of this. Every time we see Ryan Gosling in a movie we’re like “that’s SO us!” But we never thought to sue about it. I guess some people are just more clever than us. But not more Gosling than us, cause that’s TOTALLY us.

According to reports, aspiring screenwriter Michael Alan Rubin is suing the filmmakers of “The Hangover Part II” because the Bangkok plot “is copied from the treatment…and also from the real life incident of the Plantiff, because the protagonist…travels from the United States to an Asian country to marry his Asian girlfriend.”

So not only did “The Hangover” rob the man of his material, but they stole his real life experiences? I guess this man is the only person to ever travel to Asia and marry an Asian girl. Sounds pretty uncommon to us.

It gets better. Rubin is accusing the filmmakers of defaming him, as Ed Helms‘ character (presumably the Rubin comparable) gets involved with drugs and prostitutes.

So basically, that’s like us getting mad at the movie “Drive” because Ryan Gosling’s character kills somebody and we’d totally never do that in real life. You know what, when you put it like that, it makes perfect sense! Sue away, Rubin! How dare those filmmakers made a movie that makes Ed Helms’ fictional character that isn’t you look bad!!!!!
