Mario Batali — celebrity chef, friend of G.P. (Gwyneth Paltrow) and co-host of ABC’s “The Chew” — doesn’t mess around when it comes to criticism of his food. And on Tuesday (April 24), Batali lashed out at one critic via Twitter.
“Eat s*** and die a**hole,” replied Batali when a user on the micro-blogging site wrote, “My dog s*** on some little Caesars and I ate it and thought batali had stepped his pizza up.”
The critic in question — user arealbadtime — appears to be doing his utmost to live up to his Twitter handle, posting rude and censor-worthy messages about everything from “Game of Thrones” to “The Cleveland Show.” It appears, though, that Batali is the first of arealbadtime’s targets to rise to the bait and post an equally scathing reply.
What do you think? Should Batali have just ignored the slight or was he right to respond in kind?
