The gay marriage debate is a hot topic among celebrities as the Supreme Court hears arguments in the case of California’s Prop. 8, which amends the state’s Constitution to ban same-sex marriage. Many celebrities have made their opinion on the issue known by participating in the NOH8 campaign, produced by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska.
Some stars went so far as to travel to Washington D.C. to attend the Supreme Court proceedings Tuesday (March 26). The Huffington Post reports “A Few Good Men” director Rob Reiner paid someone to stand in line so that he would be first to enter the courtroom. “Milk” director Dustin Lance Black also told his Facebook fans he would be in attendance.
Katy Perry was present in spirit outside the courthouse as public demonstrators danced to her music, while fending off the Westboro Baptist Church protesters. Still, many celebs were happy to weigh in from afar. Here is a sampling from the world of celebrity tweeting:
