paula deen masterchef seaso 'MasterChef' welcomes Paula Deen: 'Turn that sucker on blast'Paula Deen was dropped from a lot of her business dealings after her N-word admittance in a deposition earlier this year came to light. But “MasterChef” had already filmed her as a guest judge for its final five — what was the show to do?

Well, a conspiracy theorist might think that FOX purposely buried her segment in the middle of a two-hour episode and didn’t advertise her appearance at all. But either way, the segment aired.

Hilariously, chef Luca says as Paula Deen rolls up on a tractor, “When I see Paula Deen, the first thing that comes to my head is ‘Southern food.'”

That .. is probably no longer true. Heh.

Anyway, Deen helped judge a luncheon where each of the final five chefs cooked for a table of 10 people. Each contestant had a different Southern meat — catfish, pork chops, alligator, shrimp and chicken.

Deen chose Jessie and Luca to advance to the Top 4 without having to participate in this week’s pressure test and that was the end of her segment, though it was not without funny little comments from Deen, like “Turn that sucker on blast” and “That’s how I cook mine,” referring to deep-frying alligator meat.

Did you tune in to see Paula on “MasterChef”? And what did you think of the Top 4, consisting of Luca, Jessie, Natasha and Krissi? Next week should be fun, with the chefs seemingly being made to work in pairs, Luca/Natasha and Krissi/Jessie.
