When it comes to fashion, “True Detective” star Matthew McConaughey is all about convenience. That’s why he attended a baseball game wearing a fanny pack.
CSN Houston reporter Julia Morales couldn’t help but ask about McConaughey’s fashion statement while he watched the Astros game. “I’m not afraid of the fanny pack,” he answers. “You gotta kinda put it on the side to make it look a little not as nerdy, but still practicality wins out. I’ve got so much gear in here that I don’t want in my pockets. I’m not afraid of the fanny pack.”
He wasn’t content leaving it at that though, as McConaughey continues, “How many times are you around somebody and they’re like, ‘Oh, you know what? I forgot my so-and-so. I gotta go back to the car,’ and you’re like, ‘I got mine right here.'”
He realizes some people might not be ready to jump on this particular bandwagon just yet, but he thinks they definitely will “some decade from now.” You could always get ahead of the trend with McConaughey now, though — fanny pack, anyone?
