The “Daredevil” world that Netflix is building just got a bit more crowded. The streaming service has announced six more people joining the cast in supporting roles.
The new cast members join Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk/Kingpin), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple) and more who have already been announced for the series.
While you may not recognize some of the new cast right off the bat, chances are you’ve seen them before.
Rob Morgan as Turk Barrett
Morgan has been seen on episodes of “Person of Interest” and “The Knick,” prior to “Daredevil.” He plays Turk Barrett, who is described as “a smalltime criminal in Hell’s Kitchen. Barrett appears in the comics, working with Kingpin.
Matt Gerald as Melvin Potter
Gerald previously appeared on “Dexter” as Ray Speltzer. Now, he’s playing Melvin Potter, “a machinist caught between a rock and a hard place.” Like Turk Barrett, Potter is a character from the comics.
Peter Skinkoda as Nobu
After starring on “Falling Skies” as Dai, Shinkoda now plays Nobu, “a Japanese businessman with an agenda all his own.” Nobu sides with Kingpin and is an original character.
Wai Ching Ho as Madame Gao
Gao, another original character, is simply described as “a powerful woman running her own trade.” Ho previously guested on “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”
Nikolai Nikolaeff and Gideon Emery as Vladimir and Anatoly
Nikoleff and Emery play “two Russian brothers looking to forge new names for themselves in America. Nikolaeff previously starred on “Power Rangers Jungle Fury,” while Emery appeared on an episode of “Grimm” as Damien Barso.
“Daredevil” premieres April 10 on Netflix.
