But in October 2010, she became known for much more than just that when reports of NFL Quarterback Brett Favre sending her nude photos and sexts surfaced.

“I haven’t made a dime off anything in this whole situation. Not from
the pictures. Not from Favre. I never wanted to sue anyone. That was
never an intention of mine,” she tells ABC News now.

She says that she wasn’t interested in cashing in on the scandal. “I’m not a gold-digger. The only way I wanted to make my money this whole time was to just have a job.”

The texts, photos, and voicemails were posted online. They were allegedly sent by Favre to Sterger in 2008, when he briefly played for the New York Jets. Favre has admitted to leaving the voicemails, but hasn’t confessed to sending any photos.
“I’m still trying. Just got done with practice. I’ll try the other phone. You’re probably caller ID’ing me but if you can make it, it would be
great,” he said on one voicemail, trying to convince her to join him that night.

Because he was uncooperative in the league’s investigation into his conduct, Favre was fined $50,000 by the NFL. He ended his 20-year career this winter as the result of an injury.

Sterger, 27, says her career has been negatively impacted. “You know, I was trying to go to work, do my job, but how
are you supposed to report on the news when you are the news? It was
tough. It was embarrassing. It was humiliating.”

Her career began when she was a cheerleader at FSU. She later posed for Maxim and Playboy and was featured as one of ET’s 20 Hottest Women on the Web in 2008. For a short time she wrote for Sports Illustrated Online.
