katy perry met gala 2013 gi Met Gala 2013: Katy Perry channels Joan of Arc and wears a crown

When Katy Perry shows up for a gala, she doesn’t play around. Her dress, inspired by the “OG queen of punk” Joan of Arc, was made by Dolce & Gabbana, who were right there with her every step of the way.
The dress, which actually features an image of Joan of Arc, is sure to turn heads. Whether they’re turning for a good reason or not is to be decided. To top it all off, Queen Katy wore a crown of jewels and gigantic earrings. Not punk, but it’s definitely something. However, it may have less to do with punk rock and more to do with her new fragrance, which hit the market May 2, Killer Queen.
Katy is currently working on a new album due out sometime in the Summer. She’s also set to return for the second installment in the “Smurfs,” which will be in theaters July 31.
