“Devious Maids” has added “Melrose Place” alum Grant Show as a daytime soap opera star married to a self-centered actress, also a just-cast role. ABC’s untitled Mandy Moore comedy about two newlyweds who get the chance to run a restaurant in the wife’s (Moore) hometown, only to be bogged down by her needy family, has cast Kurt Fuller (“Psych,” “Ghostbusters II”) and Stockard Channing (“The West Wing,” “Grease”) as Moore’s parents. NBC’s “Chicago Fire” has added Merle Dandrige and Teri Reeves to the firehouse. Dandrige is the humorless boss of the men and women of the Chicago Fire Department, while Reeves is the ex-wife to male lead Jesse Spencer from “House.” [Deadline]

Alan Ball (“True Blood,” “Six Feet Under”) has a new show coming to Cinemax – “Banshee,” about an ex-con who assumes the identity of the sheriff in Banshee, PA.
