michael j fox sam anniquah schuyler Michael J. Fox brings his family out for the cause, unleashes his inner Marty McFlySince revealing his Parkinson’s diagnosis to the world in 1998, Michael J. Fox has not been the most private of public figures. He’s written candidly about his life as an actor, an activist, and a family man in three books.

Still, it’s rare to see the Fox family out and about in front of cameras. That wasn’t the case at Saturday night’s “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s” event at the Waldorf Astoria. Family ties, indeed.

Fox and wife Tracy Pollan brought the kids to the party, including 22-year-old son Sam, who is the spitting image of his father (if significantly taller!) and 16-year-old twins Aquinnah and Schuyler. (Ten-year-old Esm had better things to do, we assume!)

“It’s been an amazing ride,” Fox tells People. “It took me a while to get that life is filled with wonderful
possibilities, and when I did, it just exploded, so many good things
started to happen.”

Later that night, Fox delighted fans when he broke out his guitar (and one or two of Marty McFly’s old moves) to perform “Johnny B. Goode” on stage in true homage to his “Back to the Future” days. Some actors shy away from their more iconic roles — we’re just glad Fox isn’t one of them.
