The suit, filed in federal court by the Jackson family’s lawyer, Brian Oxman, asks for unspecified damages from Murray, Acres Home Heart and Vascular Services and GCA Holdings, Murray’s clinics in Texas and Nevada. It was filed in federal court and not in California because Murray lives outside the state.

]]>has a copy of the complaint) probably won’t surprise you if you’ve been following the Jackson family’s beef with Murray in the past year. It alleges that Murray didn’t tell the doctors and paramedics who were trying to save Jackson that he’d given Jackson the sedative Propofol, and that he tried to “clean-up” the scene by getting bottles of Propofol out of sight before paramedics arrived. It also claims that Murray gave different stories to doctors at UCLA Medical Center on the day of Jackson’s death and a couple days later in an interview with police; that Murray didn’t keep records of his treatment of Jackson, as California law requires; that he ignored other ailments Jackson was suffering that were discovered in an autopsy; and that he administered a “polypharmacy” of medications to Jackson, ranging from Propofol to Valium to ephedrine. Because of all that, the suit claims Murray was negligent and provided inadequate care to Jackson, helping cause his death. Joe Jackson, acting on behalf of his wife, Katherine, and Michael’s three children, asks for a jury trial to determine the amount of damages Murray should pay the family.
