Mike Tyson made a controversial trip to visit with Toronto’s Mayor Rob Ford this past week. Ford has already made headlines this year when news of his cocaine scandal broke. Now he’s running for election and a Toronto newsman had some concerns about Tyson’s impact on the race.
“Some of your critics have said, ‘There’s a race for Mayor. We know you’re a convicted rapist. This could hurt his campaign.’ How would you respond to that?” The anchor questioned, referring to Tyson’s 1992 conviction for raping Miss Black Rhode Island Desiree Washington for which he served three years in prison.
“I have nothing to say to that. I have no comment to that because it’s negative and you’re being negative. I met the Mayor and there’s nothing they can do about it,” Tyson answers at first. it soon becomes obvious that the question extremely bothered him. As they move on from the question Tyson speaks up again. “You know you come across as a nice guy, but you’re really a piece of s***. F*** you.”
The anchor tries to downplay the situation and remind the heavyweight boxer that they are on live television but Tyson says he doesn’t care. They try once again to move the conversation to Tyson’s one man show, “The Undisputed Truth, ” but he can’t let it go.
“It’s more nerve wracking for me to talk to a rat piece of s*** like you,” Tyson reiterates in a new question, forcing the interview to wrap early. You can see the entire confrontation below.
