mike tyson undisputed truth hbo gi Mike Tyson's one man show coming to HBOIf you weren’t fortunate (unfortunate?) enough to take in a live performance of Mike Tyson‘s one-man show “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth” when during its 10-week U.S. tour or its Broadway run, HBO has your back.

HBO Films announced Tuesday (June 25) that Spike Lee will direct a taped performance of the boxing legend’s stage show in July for a premiere later this year.

“Mike Tyson’s one-man show is a fascinating journey into his storied life and career, and we are thrilled to have Spike Lee bring it from the stage to the screen for our viewers,” HBO Programming president Michael Lombardo says.

“I’m incredibly grateful to HBO for partnering with me and for believing in my story,” Tyson remarks. “It is an honor and a privilege to be working with them to bring my one-man show, ‘Undisputed Truth,’ to live on the television screen.”

This isn’t the first time Lee and Tyson have worked on a project together for HBO. The two teamed on a boxing drama pilot called “Da Brick” in 2011 that the network ultimately passed on.

Are you looking forward to seeing “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth” on HBO when it debuts?
