Riding high on the iTunes charts with her hit single “We Can’t Stop,” Miley Cyrus has been making the promotional rounds with nary a detail regarding a follow-up single or album release date. Until now.
A snippet of a new song on Cyrus’ upcoming album hit the Internet — and when we say snippet, we mean snippet. The clip (if you can even call it that) mostly features the singer talking over the Dr. Luke-produced track, entitled “Wrecking Ball.” It doesn’t offer much clues to what the song will actually sound like, but it’s exciting nonetheless.
While Cyrus has kept relatively mum on album specifics, she has spoken out about the lesbian rumors that have plagued her since chopping her hair off. “Everyone said I was a lesbian but I’m like, ‘Being a lesbian isn’t a bad thing. So if you think I look like I’m a lesbian, I’m not offended. You can call me much worse.’ I’ve been called much worse,” she tells the Toronto Sun. “Being a lesbian is a compliment more than what else they call me.”
Be sure to listen to the “Wrecking Ball” preview below. If you listen real closely, you may even hear part of it.
