lambert chris brown facebook Miranda Lambert calls out Chris Brown: 'Beating up on a woman is never okay'The feud between Chris Brown and Miranda Lambert shows no sign of slowing down. And this time Lambert is taking it to the people.

The country singer has been an outspoken critic of Brown because of his domestic violence history. So during a Feb. 16 concert, Lambert brought out a sign that reads, “Take Notes Chris Brown” just before performing her song “Gunpowder and Lead.” The tune is about a woman who readies to kill her abusive husband upon his release from jail.

“Get a good picture now, put it on Twitter,” Lambert says to the crowd. “I’ve been in a world of hurt with Chris Brown fans lately … but see, I just have to speak my mind because where I come from, beating up on a woman is never okay.”

Brown pleaded guilty to assault of pop star Rihanna in 2009. For this he received five years probation and must complete more than 1,400 hours of community service.

Brown has been none too pleased with Lambert’s comments.

On Feb. 18, he writes the hardly-veiled comment on Twitter, “Using my name to get publicity? I love it! Perform your heart out!”

This is only the beginning.
