Jason Mantzoukas (“The League”) will guest-star in an upcoming episode of “Modern Family,” and we’re guessing his presence won’t thrill Phil and Claire (Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen). Mantzoukas will play a designer who works with Haley (Sarah Hyland) — and becomes her new boyfriend. [EW]

Jimmy Kimmel is going home. Kimmel, who was born in Brooklyn, will tape a week of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” shows there starting Oct. 29. Guests for the week include David Letterman, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, and he’s lined up performances by Alicia Keys and Vampire Weekend, among others. [ABC]

“Raising Hope” is planning a “Back to the Future”-themed episode for later this season — featuring Christopher Lloyd as a guest star. He’ll play a debt collector who wants to settle some old notes with the Chances, and there’s a high possibility that a DeLorean will somehow be involved. [EW]

Rachel Zoe‘s life, already the subject of a Bravo series, could soon be the premise for a sitcom as well. Zoe and husband Rodger Berman will executive produce a comedy project based on her life for NBC; Aseem Batra (“Scrubs,” “The Cleveland Show”) will write the pilot. [Deadline]

“Robot Chicken” will continue clucking its way through pop culture for another season. Adult Swim has ordered a seventh season of the Seth Green-produced show, which will premiere sometime next year. [Adult Swim]

– Food Network has announced the eight participants for round two of “Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off.” They are singer Chilli of TLC; actress Kathy Najimy; comedian Gilbert Gottfried; actor/husband of Tori Spelling Dean McDermott; former NFL star Hines Ward; designer Cornelia Guest; singer Carnie Wilson; and figure skater/reality TV star Johnny Weir. – Bravo has announced a premiere date for Season 2 of “Shahs of Sunset.” The show following several members of L.A.’s Persian-American community will return Sunday, Dec. 2. [Bravo]
