If there was a central thesis for Amy Schumer’s hosting of the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, it’s that women masturbate. Granted, that may not come as much of a surprise to most, but the comedian went out of her way to inform the world of that fact a few times throughout the two-hour show.
It all started with the show’s monologue, when Schumer brought up “Magic Mike XXL.” “It really is magic,” she jokes. “Anytime I watch those guys, at least two of my fingers disappear.”
The masturbation comedy hit its peak with a sketch featuring Schumer, Amber Rose and Nikki Glaser, though. As the women arrive to see “Fifty Shades of Grey” and “Magic Mike XXL” in a theater, they brandish things like a selection of gourds, shower heads and even a vibrating purse. “Why can’t we just treat ourselves?” Schumer wonders out loud.
Did the humor push the line too far? It’s hard to say one way or the other. There were some who truly enjoyed the bits throughout the show.

However, not everybody was on board with the tone the jokes took throughout the night.

Were the jokes too much for your personal taste? Vote in the poll below.

You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
