nick cannon mariah carey getty Nick Cannon: Health problems force him to quit radio showMariah Carey‘s husband, television and radio personality Nick Cannon, has been forced to quit one of his two radio shows after health problems have sent him to the hospital multiple times over the last few weeks.

He’ll no longer do his “Rolling With Nick Cannon” radio show in New York, though he will continue on with his syndicated show, “Cannon’s Countdown.”

“Under doctor’s orders, I have been asked to put my health first and cut
back on some of my professional commitments in order to allow my body to
get the rest that it needs to keep up with the demands of my
multi-tasking schedule,” he says in a statement. “Even Superman has to sleep.”

Cannon was hospitalized last weekend for two blood clots found in his lungs and complications stemming from an enlarged ventricle in his heart. In January, he was hospitalized for kidney failure.

The Carey-Cannon family is suffering in more ways than one. This week, Mariah Carey canceled an appearance on “Good Morning America.” “Mariah is still mourning the death of her friend and collaborator Whitney Houston and thought it was too soon to appear on TV to discuss anything else,” a rep said.
