nudist protest san francisco gi Nudists strip down at City Hall to protest nudity ban in San Francisco

San Francisco City Hall was awash in nakedness when a group of nudists stripped down inside the building to protest a Board of Supervisors vote to approve a recent ban on nudity in the city.
Public nudity is legal in San Francisco, but the City Hall has issued a ruling forbidding it. According to the San Francisco Examiner, the ban was introduced by Supervisor Scott Wiener, who received complaints from constituents whose children were exposed to nudists at a public open space, using genital jewelry to maintain erections.
The approval at the meeting spurred seven nudists to strip off their clothes and shout anti-corporate slogans at Wiener.
Guards covered the protesters with blankets and ejected them. As the act of being nude in public is not yet illegal, only one nude protester, Ercell Fleurima, was placed under arrest on the charge of interfering with lawful business by a public agency, and resisting arrest.

It’s now up to Mayor Ed Lee to sign the ban on public nudity into law.
