" wraps up its season in fine Upper East Side style, with multiple charity events, estranged relationships and an attempted social homicide.

Sebastian is organizer of charity event #1, a dinner to benefit the building and maintaining of wells in Africa. He admits he's doing this 50% because he wants to help the less fortunate and 50% because he thinks it is going to get him some more tail. At least he's honest. He meets up with Kelli and asks her to sing at his benefit and she refuses at first, but changes her mind. When the party starts…every person in attendance seems to be a teenage girl. I hope their parents showed up so this charity could actually make some money. Sebastian gives a little speech about the charity and obviously needs a little more public speaking experience, because he spends his time stumbling and insulting Kelli during her introduction. Smooth! Kelli then performs and sings well, but is saddled with an awful song that I hope she didn't write herself. It was bad, y'all.

PC confronts Taylor for "burning" him by not going to his party. She slips and says something about going to a concert in Brooklyn instead of the party, and PC flips and says he's done being her Henry Higgins. Taylor, to her credit, is sort of over his condescending attitude as well.

Jessie is organizer of event number two, the ongoing Operation Smile. She does a photo shoot for some promotional materials and looks pretty awesome at the shoot, but she's more concerned about her modeling partner who she thinks is gorgeous. Me? Not so much. Too muscle-man. Later, Jessie has a "last hurrah" party for her senior friends and when it comes time to play the "what college are you going to?" game, PC is the only person who doesn't have his future all lined up. Jessie makes a few pointed comments to PC about his lack of direction, and then somehow she and Kat get in a fight about confronting PC's lackadaisical attitude, and then PC tries to make peace at the table which only angers Jessie more until she storms out in a huff. The next day, PC confronts Jessie about her poor attitude towards him lately. They have a pretty heartfelt conversation where PC lays it all on the line and Jessie is just like, "whatever." At least that's what it seemed like to me.

Camille meets with Jessie to find out if she can still help with Operation Smile. Jessie totally blows her off, saying the event is in a week and Camille didn't do anything Jessie told her to do to get involved earlier. This gets under Camille's skin, and at the event she actually goes up to the event's board members and tells them that Jessie basically blocked her from being involved. That is hard core. I admire the guts, but feel like in the end it only really makes Camille look bad, not Jessie. The board members don't seem fazed (which I suppose comes with working with teenagers all the time) and simply tell her to start her own club and get herself involved. The best part of the event, however, was when Jessie busts people smoking weed upstairs and reads them the riot act…and when storming back downstairs in a huff falls down the stairs in front of everyone. Hee.The rest of the event goes off without a hitch, and Jessie and PC even share a very nice conversation to end the episode. Aw, those crazy kids.

Random thoughts:

  • Conversations like Jessie and Camille's that are completely adversarial and then end with a disingenuous cheek kiss crack me up. Why say goodbye so civilly when you can barely hold back your disdain?
  • Loved PC's apology to Carmen Marc Valvo and his response. A nice, mature, adult conversation was nice to hear in the middle of this crazy show.
  • Here's what the kids want for next year: Sebastian wants a smaller number of girls, but for the girls to be hotter; Kelli wants to continue her singing career; Camille wants to take over NY now that PC and Jessi are leaving; PC is going to Occidental College in Los Angeles because he obviously wants to be an actor; and Jessie wants to stay in NY and got to FIT. Me? I want this show to be canceled. Here's hoping we all get our wishes.

Favorite quotes:

  • "This charity event is like a win-win. It's a good cause, and then it shows my sensitive side to like, girls, which increases my chances." – Sebastian
  • "This is really not that big of a deal, and I'm really not your social experiment." – Taylor, to PC
  • "PC is intimidated by very good looking men. So obviously he's intimidated a lot." – Jessie
