Olivia Munn may be a drop-dead gorgeous actress with a still-building career, but she also suffers from an impulse-control disorder called trichotillomania, that compels her to pull out her eyelashes.
“I don’t bite my nails, but I rip out my eyelashes,” she tells the New York Daily News. “It doesn’t hurt, but it’s really annoying. Every time I run out of the house, I have to stop and pick up a whole set of fake eyelashes.”
Munn, who got her start hosting G4’s “Attack of the Show” and can currently be seen in both “Magic Mike” and the HBO show “The Newsroom,” also admits she suffers from sometimes crippling social anxiety that has her petrified of attending parties solo.
“I don’t think anyone would describe me as weak, but I don’t want people to be mean to me,” she says. “As an Air Force kid, I moved around a lot when I was younger and no one was nice to the new kid. So there is always this feeling that someone will make fun of me.”
