It’s the end of an era: Oprah Winfrey and 50 Cent have settled their notorious beef. Sort of. O and Fiddy sat down to talk on an episode of “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” airing Sunday, June 10 on OWN, where they put their feud to rest.
Oprah wasn’t too pleased when 50 named his dog after her, but the rapper-turned-actor explains that he was responding to her negative interpretation of his music. “That was not a compliment,” she says. “I heard you had a bitch named Oprah!”
“At the time, I was just looking at the situation, and I saw I was developing negative feelings for someone who doesn’t even know me…and I gave it to the dog,” he explains. “I would see moments when you would discuss your feelings on the culture, and everything that was wrong with the culture was what was on my CD, and I was like, ‘Oh, she doesn’t like me.'”
The pair cleared the air during the interview, but don’t see eye-to-eye on everything. Winfrey still disagrees with the use of the n-word, while 50 justifies using it occasionally. “When you’re actually using it with malice in your heart, you can feel the difference.”
