miles tyree pigg vido 'Parenthood' cast rocks Landon Pigg video, plus: Mae Whitman, Miles Heizer, and Dax Shepard talk music“Parenthood” fans are already familiar with singer-songwriter Landon Pigg. Not only have many of his songs served as background music to tearjerker scenes, but he also appeared as himself this season for a cameo at The Luncheonette, the recording studio owned by Crosby (Dax Shepard) and Adam (Peter Krause).

Now, as Season 3 winds down, Pigg has released this super-awesome video including the “Parenthood” cast, which you can watch below. It’s a cover of LFO’s “Girl On TV.”

The Pigg vid shows off the skills of real-life girlfriend Mae Whitman and her “Parenthood” co-stars Craig T. Nelson, Tyree Brown, Miles Heizer, Savannah Paige Rae, Bonnie Bedelia, Max Burkholder, Jason Ritter, Shepard, Krause, Erika Christensen, Rosa Salazar, Sarah Ramos, Sam Jaeger, and Lauren Graham.

Michael B. Jordan is even featured on the track, which is just the remedy to last night’s completely heartbreaking episode.

We particularly love seeing Heizer break it down, because his character, Drew, is so reserved on the show. Hopefully, we can look forward to some of Heizer’s own music in the future. When we visited the set during the Season 3 finale shoot, Heizer told us that he plans to work on his music over the hiatus.

“I really love music, and I’m kind of pursuing it in some manner,” he says. “I’m going to graduate high school over the break, and working on music is definitely something I’ll focus on. I had a song on ‘Parenthood,’ once, randomly. It’s not like a lot of things I’m doing now, but nevertheless, it was pretty cool.”

“We’re going to start a band,” Whitman added later. “It’s going to be all Drake and Taylor Swift covers. Prepare yourselves.”

“Parenthood,” of course, is a very musical show. In addition to Heizer’s soundtrack moment, Whitman has performed on the show. We also saw a lot of visiting artists this season following the introduction of the Luncheonette, including Cee-Lo in one episode. We can’t say that the mainstream celeb cameos felt particularly natural to the show, something Dax Shepard agreed with us on.

“You know, I’m on the fence about that to be honest,” Shepard told us. “It was a blast working with Cee-Lo Green, he’s really wonderful, but in terms of the story I found it disruptive to see famous people interact with this family that we’ve come to believe is a real family. In real life, these people don’t hang out with super famous musicians. I love the sort of underrated, undiscovered artists — like Landon Pigg came on, and we’re all really good friends with him. That level for me is a really good level, where maybe 5% of the audience is like ‘Oh, that’s Landon Pigg! We’d love to have him back. He’ll always be around.”

Tune in to the “Parenthood” finale on Tuesday night at 10 p.m. EST on NBC. Honestly, we’ll be pretty mad if you don’t. Team Braverman indeed.
