Comedian Patton Oswalt will host the 39th annual Annie Awards on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at UCLA’s Royce Hall, according to THR.

Patton’s comedic talent, audacious humor and love for animation will
bring great energy and visibility, not to mention fun to this year’s
ceremony,” says ASIFA-Hollywood President Frank Gladstone. We totally agree. In fact, we think Oswalt should host everything all day long.

Oswalt, who did the voice for Pixar’s amazing “Ratatouille” says “The Annies are where the real weirdos hang, and it’s a visual feast
just to have a drink with them. I can’t wait.” We can’t either, Patton.

This year’s nominees include “Kung Fu Panda 2” which leads the pack with 12 nominations, “Cars 2” and “Puss In Boots.” “Rango” and “Winnie the Pooh” are also nominated.
