paula deen caesars gi Paula Deen loses Caesars casino contract after N word fiasco

Paula Deen‘s partners are dropping like flies. Following her firing from Food Network and being cut by Smithfield, Caesars Palace is the latest organization to pull the plug.

The casino company announced it will close Deen’s four restaurants that operate on its properties. In a statement to TMZ, Caesars says this move is in its “best interest” following Deen’s racism scandal. After Deen’s restaurants are shuttered, Caesars will rebrand them and open them again in a couple of months.

When Deen made her appearance on “Today” earlier this morning, she commended the companies that have stood by her. “Would I have fired me, knowing me? No. … I’m so fortunate that so many of my partners that know who I am have decided to stand by me. QVC has not dropped me. … I am so very thankful for the partners I have that believe in me,” she says.

There’s still no word as to whether Deen’s episode of “MasterChef” will still air as planned this summer.
