piers morgan live canceled gi 'Piers Morgan Live' ending on CNN, according to host

It’s the end of the line for CNN’s “Piers Morgan Live.” The show, which succeeded “Larry King Live” when the newsman left the network hasn’t been doing well in the ratings and host Piers Morgan confirms it’s coming to an end.
“Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it,” he tells the New York Times in an interview. “That’s run its course and Jeff [Zucker] and I have been talking for some time about different ways of using me.” He says the show will “probably” end in March.
Morgan says at this point he’d rather be used for more event programming, like bigger marquee interviews for the network. Whether that happens remains to be seen.
There’s no word on who will replace Morgan’s time slot, but it turns out a guy named Jay Leno is out of work at the moment and really loves talking. Maybe he should stay near his phone just in case.
