PLL-S2-finale-1.jpgOnly six more days until “A” on “Pretty Little Liars” is revealed in the Season 2 finale. Zap2it spoke with producer Lisa Cochran-Neilan about the finale and while she couldn’t reveal much, we’ve got a few juicy tidbits.

“I think you’re gonna like the finale. We’re very, very happy with it,” says Cochran-Neilan. “It has a lot of ‘Oh my god’ moments in it.”

Well, we certainly would expect nothing less. But we’re curious – is the “A” reveal the cliffhanger? Or perhaps does it happen before the final frames of the episode?

“Both. How’s that?” she laughs. “Basically, there’s a new chapter [starting]. [Executive producer] Marlene King made a comment in the very beginning when she went off to write the finale that this was going to be an ending and a beginning. And she delivered.”

One thing that has always been a concern is that the “A” reveal will be a let down, or will be unbelievable – like how could so-and-so have been “A” all this time. But Cochran-Neilan assures us they’ve planned things out very well.

“We have been very deliberate about mapping ‘A’ … there have been clues all along. There have been clues from the very beginning,” she says. “There were clues, there were comments, it’s in the dialogue, it’s in the sets, it’s in so many different pieces. It has been so much fun.”

EP King told Zap2it at the start of the back-half of Season 2 that the finale this year would pay homage to Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho,” the way the Season 1 finale did with Hitchcock’s “Vertigo.” Cochran-Neilan says it’s a beautiful episode.

“It’s visually beautiful. [Marlene] likes to take a theme, she very much likes to go into a very dark mystery element. She said early on she wanted ‘Psycho’ to be a part of it. When you watch it, you will see pieces and you will hear pieces of it,” says Cochran-Neilan.

The “Pretty Little Liars” finale airs Monday, March 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
