Nicole Gale Anderson is a new “Ravenswood” star but she features heavily in the “Pretty Little Liars” Halloween special that introduces the spinoff show.

“The Pretty Little Liars are traveling to Ravenswood and my character, Miranda, and Tyler’s character, Caleb, we’re traveling to Ravenswood as well,” says Anderson. “We meet on a bus and realize we have a lot more in common than we think and when we get there, weird, really spooky things start happening.”

Anderson says of her character, “She is a very strong, confident young woman. She’s been through a lot and she likes to hide her emotional scars with humor, so she’s very sarcastic and quite witty, so she’s a lot of fun to play.”

The character is part of what drew her to “Ravenswood” but also it’s the fact that she’s a “Pretty Little Liars” fans herself.

“I’m a fan of ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ I think it’s a great combination of being a plot-driven show but there’s a lot of great character moments, especially the relationships between the girls. … I love Caleb and I love Hanna, so I’m interested in what happens with them, with him departing for Ravenswood.”

The “Pretty Little Liars” Halloween episode and the “Ravenswood” premiere air Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
