pretty little liars free fall abc family 'Pretty Little Liars' spoilers: A fashion event, the Hitchcock homage and moreIn addition to two sneak peek clips from next week’s episode, titled “Free Fall,” Zap2it has a few spoilers for the end of Season 4b, “Pretty Little Liars” fans.

In the clips below, Hanna and Emily are nervous about revealing what they know (or think they know) about Mr. Fitz to Aria, and an ABC Family source tells us in “Free Fall,” there’s a bit of a hitch in that regard: “Hanna and Emily take a step back and say, ‘Maybe it’s not as black and white as Spencer says it is.'”

EP Joseph Dougherty adds that it has to do with “Spencer’s problem with her Adderall.”

Here are a few more juicy tidbits about the final few Season 4 episodes, courtesy of Dougherty and costume designer Mandi Line:

  • “There’s a fashion event that happens in [episode] 23.” — Dougherty
  • “Lucy you’ll see is very Madonna circa ’87. You have Aria
rock ‘n’ roll, you have Hanna super femme, you have Spencer super classic
and then Emily with a bit of an open back going on. Just know that they’re going to have some outstanding dresses on.” — Line
  • On the annual season finale Alfred Hitchcock reference: “[EP Marlene King] ends up going ‘Vertigo,’ another aspect of ‘Vertigo.’ There are other things, but the one that jumps out at me is ‘Vertigo.'” — Dougherty

If you’ll recall, the Season 1 finale, “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” featured a “Vertigo” reference with Ian falling in the church bell tower. Interestingly, the plot of “Vertigo” centers around a blonde woman who is the doppelganger of another woman who is dead, with said lookalike posing as the dead woman (whom Jimmy Stewart’s character is in love with). Does that sound like Alison and Mr. FItz, perhaps?

“Pretty Little Liars” airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family. Watch the “Free Fall” clips below:
