Kanye, Kanye, Kanye… will you ever learn?
Never one to shy away from speaking his (often controversial) mind, Kanye West is yet again in hot water. In one of his ever-entertaining rants, West compared himself to Hitler.
Yes, that Hitler.
Now last we check, stealing Taylor Swift’s limelight is hardly Nazi Germany. However, the rapper maintains that the reaction to him is still just as negative.
“I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I’m (expletive) insane, like I’m Hitler,” he tells the crowd at Saturday (August 6) night’s Big Chill Festival in England. “One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did.”
That didn’t exactly go over well with the crowd who proceeded to boo West according to The Associated Press.
Attempting to close the show on a more positive, albeit somber, note. He then went on to pay tribute to Amy Winehouse playing snippets of her songs before leading into, yet another, rant.
“Thank you for protecting your artists that are still here,” he tells the crowd. “This is for McQueen, for Amy, for Michael and for all the media, can you lighten up on all your artists that are still here?”
And with that the boos turned to cheers and Kanye is back on the crowd’s good side.
