britne oldford ravenswood 'Ravenswood's' Britne Oldford: 'There are lots of twists and turns'“Ravenswood” is bringing some spooky goodness to the “Pretty Little Liars” fans when it launches on ABC Family Tuesday, Oct. 22. Star Britne Oldford tells Zap2it that her character of Remy Beaumont will stop at nothing to find out what is going on with her beloved town and its curse.

“Remy is a pretty cool cat. She’s a very strong-willed,

independent individual. She searches for justice and truth

and will stop at pretty much nothing to find out what’s

going on with the town and her childhood friends,” says Oldford.

“Her father owns the town newspaper, the

Ravenswood Gazette,” Oldford continues, “So she’s kind of an encyclopedia about

Ravenswood. She’s always known that people have had a

different perception of the town and thought it to be dark

and different. … Remy’s family has been in the

town for a long time. The newspaper has been in the family

for generations. She has a very loving and strong feeling

towards the town and wants to figure out what’s wrong with

it because she loves it.”

Oldford can’t divulge too much about this curse that viewers know is plaguing Ravenswood, but she can drop a few tidbits for us.

“Every so many years there has been an incident happening

to a group of people in the town and they start to find

out there are similarities from all the incidents, dating

from the 1800s all the way up to now,” says Oldford, which she says makes the show a lot of fun.

“I’ve always loved mysteries, which is one of the reasons I

was drawn to ‘Ravenswood.’ It’s a lot of fun and wild

ride. … There’s lots of twists and turns, I think everyone is

going to have a lot of fun watching it.”

“Ravenswood” premieres Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT before moving to its regular timeslot of 8 p.m. ET/PT on Tuesday, Oct. 29 on ABC Family.
