“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice apologized to her former friends via open letters in In Touch last week, and it looks like she reportedly earned $6,500 for the story.
“Why send a private letter when you can have In Touch deliver the news to everyone?” an editor at the magazine tells the Huffington Post. “It’s so emotional to read that Teresa missed her friendship with Jacqueline [Laurita] and that she has nothing but love in her heart for Kathy [Wakile]. It’s a fantastic story that any magazine would love to have as an exclusive in exchange for only $6,500.”
On Sunday’s (April 29) episode of Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live,” Jacqueline says she tried to reach out to Teresa via text prior to the In Touch article but didn’t hear back from Teresa.
“And the next time I get a response is in a paid apology,” Jacqueline says.
Andy’s other guest for the evening was Kelly Osbourne who notes, “If you’re really sorry, it takes a lot more than three sentences.”
While Jacqueline adds, “But she never said what she was sorry for.”
So was $6,500 worth the backlash Teresa is receiving?
