“I still have sadness and complicated feelings about my divorce,” he tells Men’s Health. “But
how beneficial is it to keep hanging onto those feelings? My
aim is always to progress — to make better decisions and be a better
father, a better boyfriend, a better husband if it happens again.”

Phillippe can be seen in this month’s “MacGruber,” the “SNL” skit-turned-movie with Kristen Wiig and Will Forte. And will be hosting “Saturday Night Live” on April 17.

“I tend to internalize and analyze, but with them, there’s none of that.
There was no edit, no judgment. I was just a really free atmosphere,” Phillippe says of the on-set energy.

Of course, he shows off his washboard abs inside the magazine. “I like feeling strong,” he says. “I want to throw my kids up in the air and wrestle them. Working out has become about functionality.”

]]>Ryan isn’t the only one of Witherspoon’s exes with a movie to promote in April. Jake Gyllenhaal covers GQ this month and tells the mag that the single life “is okay.” “I think it’s more important for every man to find the right woman and for every woman to find the right man,” Gyllenhaal says, though he doesn’t think partnering up is the most important thing in life. “Who am I to say what the most important thing in life is? The best answer that I could give to any of these things is that I really don’t know. Particularly right now in my life.” For the first time, Jake speaks publicly about his friend Heath Ledger. He says that he doesn’t like talking about Ledger at all. “In retrospect, filming ‘Brokeback’ was just a painful process,” he remembers. “I don’t think any of us can watch it to this day. I remember talking to Michelle [Williams] very recently and her being like, ‘I don’t know if it was any good or not.'” Gyllenhaal looks back on his time with Ledger fondly. I think we felt safe together. He was very sensitive… For such a serious actor as Heath was, he was crazy funny. Dark funny, but funny.” Follow Zap2it on Twitter and Facebook and @cadlymack on Twitter for the latest TV, movie and celebrity news. More Dish:
