CBS could be making some bold moves in order to open up some space in its fall schedule.
Tried and true procedurals “Ghost Whisperer,” “Numbers” and “Cold Case” haven’t been renewed, along with four other shows, says The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed blog. This is a surprising turn for “Ghost” especially, since it consistently won its Friday night time period.
Also going the way of the dodo would be “Miami Medical” and comedies “Accidentally on Purpose,” “New Adventures of Old Christine” and “Gary Unmarried.”
It appears the network wants to reinvigorate its programming and possibly its audience as well.
CBS will confirm any cancellations and pickups at the upfront presentation on Wednesday, May 19.
