The final part of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” Season 6 reunion was unexpectedly emotional. Viewers may have already assumed Teresa Giudice’s upcoming prison sentence would dramatically affect her reality TV queen status and Giudice thought the reunion to be the perfect time to confirm this notion (Nov. 11).
Host Andy Cohen seemed to already know the news was coming as he asked housewives Melissa Gorga, Dina Manzo, Nicole Napolitano, Amber Marchese, and Teresa Aprea, in addition to Giudice, about their hits and misses of the season. Surprisingly, most of the ladies agreed they wouldn’t do the show again if asked and blamed gossip as the reason.
When Cohen asked Giudice if Season 6 was her last she tearfully replied, “Yeah, I think so. This is probably going to be my last reunion.” The housewife, who famously flipped a table in a rage during Season 1, revealed she does have moments on the show she is proud of. She named her favorite moment as giving birth to youngest daughter Audriana and told Cohen the thing she will miss most while she is serving her 15 month sentence for bank fraud is getting to spend time with her four daughters.
Giudice was the most interesting part of the reunion, but she wasn’t the only noteworthy moment. The whole “did Rino sleep with his mother-in-law or not” issue came up again (spoiler alert — he says the answer is no, but many still think yes), along with Bobby and Jim admitting they still aren’t ready to “hug it out” just yet.
Ultimately things ended in tears, because there is no happy ending in sight for Giudice and no doubt it will be hard for fans to see her go. Viewers, would you even watch “RHONJ” without Teresa Giudice? Let us know in the poll below.
