In what was a live video (but isn’t now, because it’s over), the men of RiffTrax (who you may also know from “Mystery Science Theater 3000”) — Michael J. Nelson, Bill Corbett and Kevin Murphy — announced their group’s live RiffTrax event for the summer of 2014: “Sharknado.”

The guys also talk about their upcoming National Geographic RiffTrax special on Tuesday (April 1). It sounds like the oddest nature television ever, especially when you notice lines like “the goose is a big ol’ slut” and “cadaver dog.”

But the main point of the rather lengthy video is to announce that RiffTrax will have a live event in the summer — they will be riffing on “Sharknado” and beaming the performance to theaters around the country. That will happen on July 10 at more than 600 theaters.

The best-worst movie of all time and funny people mocking it? It really doesn’t get better than that.

The RiffTrax National Geographic special will air beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
