If you’re going to film a music video in the United Kingdom, you’ll probably want to be on your best behavior. Both Britney Spears and Rihanna recently got in trouble for their racy shoots.

Spears may be in the biggest kerfuffle. The clip for her latest single, “Criminal,” garnered the attention of government officials when the singer was seen brandishing a fake weapon for a scene in which she holds up a London shop.

This just a months after the city was plagued with riots and looting.

DigitalSpy reports Councilor Ian Rathbone from the Borough of Hackney has called for more than just an apology.

“I think she should apologize and make a sizable donation to a Hackney charity that deals with young people,” he says, “for the rudeness and damage she’s done to this community.”

Spears has yet to comment on the matter.

As for Rihanna, she isn’t in as much hot water, but the North Ireland shoot for her “We Found Love” video seemed to get a bit awkward.

HuffPo reports the Belfast-area farmer who hosted production got upset when he saw the 23-year-old changing outfits in plain sight, at one point going topless. He felt compelled to object.

“I had a conversation with Rihanna,” says Alan Graham, “I hope she understands where I’m coming from. We shook hands.”
