Sarah Darling might be considered a bit of a ringer on ABC’s new reality singing competition “Rising Star.” The 31-year-old was a finalist on the 2003 show “The Entertainer,” and when advised by host Wayne Newton to pursue country music instead of Las Vegas, she moved to Nashville, where she recorded two studio albums.

Some of her official music videos are embedded here. She’s certainly a talented singer, but does knowing she’s already been working in the industry make you want to vote for her less? After all, it is up to the viewers at home to raise The Wall so that Darling can advance on the show.

“Rising Star” premieres Sunday, June 22 at 9 p.m. ET/8 CT/7 MT on ABC.
