While “Parks and Recreation” fans prepare to say good-bye to Rob Lowe as he and Rashida Jones depart the beloved NBC comedy, the actor is finally opening up about just why he’s moving out of Pawnee.

Appearing on “Late Show with David Letterman” on Tuesday (Oct. 29), Lowe discussed the real reason he and Jones are leaving the show, blaming it all on star Amy Poehler.

“Amy Poehler has deeply offended both of us and I’ve had it,” he told Letterman. “We have boundaries.”

As Letterman and the audience laughed, Lowe added, “Amy Poehler’s a p***k, you know? What are you gonna do?”

Of course it was all a joke, but Letterman defended Poehler’s honor anyhow, flipping his guest the bird.

Check out the preview of Lowe’s interview above, where he also dishes on whether he’ll return to Pawnee for visits after he leaves, and be sure to tune in to “Late Show” on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS for the full interview.
